Olin Park Surprise Proposal in Madison, Wisconsin

On a lovely May evening in Madison, Wisconsin, these two arrived at Olin Park with one big question waiting to be asked. With views of Lake Monona and the Capitol skyline in the distance, it was the perfect setting for a proposal that felt both meaningful and relaxed.

We spent time beforehand choosing the exact location and planning the details, making sure everything would come together smoothly while still feeling natural and personal. Even with a carefully arranged setup, the moment itself felt effortless—just the two of them taking in the evening before beginning the next chapter of their story.

Olin Park is one of my favorite proposal locations in Madison. The combination of open lakeshore views, greenery, and the Capitol in the background creates a setting that feels uniquely Madison while still offering plenty of space for a private moment.

After the proposal, we explored the park together for portraits, capturing a mix of excitement, laughter, and those first moments of being newly engaged. It was a beautiful evening from beginning to end, and I'm so grateful I had the opportunity to document it.
